Not every old tattoo needs to disappear completely. Some pieces are better covered. Others can be rebuilt, cleaned up, expanded, or worked into something new.
What makes sense depends on the tattoo that’s already there.
Size, darkness, color, saturation, placement, age, and the new design all matter. A faded piece gives you different options than dense black work.
Sometimes the new tattoo needs to be larger or darker. Sometimes it doesn’t. The first step is seeing what we’re working with.
